Dr. Deirdre Byman is a graduate of Rice University and Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.
Always intending to follow her dad’s footsteps and become a physician, Dr. Byman discovered that veterinary medicine was the right path for her (and the patients were cuter too!). Prior to graduating from vet school, she worked and volunteered in small and large animal practices, with horses and wildlife, and in emergency work and general practice.
The natural fit after vet school has been focusing on cats, dogs, and building lasting relationships with the families that love them. She is passionate about itchy skin, pain management, and other chronic issues that affect her patients and their families. She believes that veterinary medicine is as much about the people as it is the animals. Open communication is vital, and balancing client education with listening to their needs and concerns is the best way to help families make the right decisions for their pets.
Dr. Byman spends the rest of her time wrangling her 3 amazing kiddos and 1 mischievous pup with her husband, Nathan. She is thrilled to join Crestview Veterinary Clinic!
