Hospital Manager

Kimberly is a native Texan and grew up in the Dallas area. She attended both the University of North Texas and Texas State University with a major in English. After college, she moved to the Seattle area in 2001 where she began her veterinary career and became a licensed veterinary technician in Washington state in 2006. She has been back in Texas, the Austin area, since 2011.

Kimberly has worked in both general practice and specialty practice as a surgery technician and an internal medicine technician. Her favorite aspect of working in veterinary medicine is getting to play a part in enhancing the quality of life for all pets and their people specifically through education, quality care, and emotional support.

Kimberly shares her home with a crew of 7 pets, all adoptees, with very complex pasts. They are: Charles and Rosie (2 elderly Boston Terriers), Dignan and Sissy (2 young Chihuahua mixes), Bear (an elderly Chihuahua), Bipin Lady Turts (a Box Turtle), and Sprout (a Betta Fish.) Kimberly is very excited to serve the people and pets of the Austin area here at Crestview Veterinary Clinic.

Jordan McPhee

Born and raised in Austin, Tx, Jordan has been drawn to animals her entire life. She is proud to say that her Dad is an officer with the Austin Police Department K-9 unit, and she discovered her love for working with animals while growing up watching her Dad work with his fellow canine officers. She has been in the veterinary field for almost a year. She has plans to get her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and one day hopes to open a clinic of her own. She has two fur babies, Sunny, a golden doodle, and Hazel, a Husky/Labrador mix. Jordan spends her free time hiking with her dogs and loves watching The Office on Netflix.

Katy Medrano

A lifetime Austinite, Katy has always had a passion for animals and quickly realized her calling was in the veterinary field. While she loves dogs, Katy is our resident cat whisperer. She has spent time fostering for the humane society and has bottle fed and raised 8 litters of abandoned kittens. She shares her home with three cats (Kimiko, Nellie, and Esme) and two dogs (Roxy and Ozzie.) In her spare time, she enjoys solving puzzles of all kinds, reading, hiking and camping. Katy is so excited to be a part of the Crestview team and looks forward to taking care of Austin people and their pet families.

Nicole Swanson

Nicole moved to Austin in 2013 with her husband and two dogs. She has a B.S. in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and has been working with animals for over 10 years. She loves working in the veterinary field and most importantly helping to foster the bond between pets and their owners. She shares her home with 2 dogs, Pickles and Finley. In her free time, Nicole enjoys hanging out with her family, camping and traveling.

Kim Napolitano

Kim grew up in New Mexico and has had a love for animals her whole life. Every chance she got, she surrounded herself in one way or another with animals, whether it was visiting zoos all over the United States, or safaris in other countries while residing in England for seven years. She is always trying to give or find a home for homeless pets in need. She has worked in the veterinary and pet sitting field for over 10 years. Her first job as a customer care associate in the veterinary field was in 2001 at a veterinary clinic in North Carolina and then she ventured out into her own pet sitting business in 2004, which she continued ownership of for the next 5 years.
She came to reside in Austin in 2011 as it brought her closer to her family in the Texas and New Mexico area. She came back to the veterinary field as a customer care associate in 2015 and can’t imagine doing anything else. Being involved with the care of animals and their people is her passion.
In her spare time, she loves going to movies, plays and musicals but mostly loves being with her two chihuahuas, Choo Choo and Layla. She is very proud and excited to be a member of the Crestview Veterinary Clinic Team.

Brenda Smith

Brenda was born in Norman, Oklahoma and raised in a small town about 10 miles from there. Brenda and her husband Don recently relocated back to the Austin area, but have lived all over the southwest. They have been married for almost 35 years and have 3 grown daughters, Jessica, Lauren and Dawn, as well as, two 12-year old Great Pyrenees, Molly and Ike. Brenda spent her early career working in mental health, however, she found her true calling, blending her love for animals and desire to provide “world class customer service” as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic. If asked, Brenda would tell you that she has her dream job, working for Dr. Kautz at Crestview Veterinary Clinic. Brenda continues to enjoy going to work every day and as a pet owner and a longtime veterinary receptionist, Brenda appreciates the care and compassion that people and their pets are given at Crestview. Brenda and her husband enjoy traveling, camping and almost any outdoor activity.

Brooke Avila

Brooke moved to Austin in 2016 to attend Austin Community College and pursue a degree in nursing. She quickly realized that her love for animals and their health was going to take her on a grander journey. She is now in the Vet Tech program and will continue to educate herself to obtain her technician license. She grew up around all types of animals and learned to respect them at a young age. Brooke has three fur babies Mindy, Mia, and Callie. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her dogs, watch as many movies as she can, and go on hikes.

Jasmine Sawyer

Jasmine became a licensed veterinary technician in 2015 and has worked in the field of veterinary medicine for over seven years. She is not only a caring and compassionate pet professional but is also dedicated to her profession having earned the AKC Evaluator certification and is also board certified as a licensed Veterinary Technician. In addition to these qualifications, she is also has over ten years of experience as a dog trainer. Jasmine has owned and cared for a wide variety of pets including dogs, fish, frogs, and leopard geckos. Currently she lives with a rambunctious feline named Mr. Peepers and a rascally rabbit named Cornflake.

Aztrid Zamora

Aztrid grew up in Dallas and studied Dietetics at Texas State University. She has been in the veterinary field since 1998 and has experience in both general practice and emergency medicine. She shares her home with a variety of pets including 3 dogs named Kuiper, Luna, and Joon Bug, 6 cats named Samuel, Elle, Jackson, Clawed, Olive, and Brian, 1 ball python named Gandalf, 1 red ear slider turtle named Sprocket, and 1 dragon betta fish named Kevin. In her spare time, Aztrid loves being outdoors and is an avid runner and hiker along with her pup Kuiper. She is also an avid reader and studies ballet. She is very excited to be a part of the Crestview team.

Latischa Jones

Latischa was born in Michigan and grew up as a military brat living in several states and she also lived in Germany during her childhood. She moved to Austin from Maryland in 2015 and immediately fell in love with this city. She has been working in the veterinary field for 17 years and has had a love for animals her whole life. She has a soft spot for big dogs because she grew up with a german shepherd named Levi and a rottweiler named Ceasar that both stole her heart. Latischa and her fiancé John currently reside in Cedar Park and in her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and exploring Texas. She is overjoyed to be working at Crestview because of the support of her awesome coworkers, the compassion we show to our patients, and the real relationships we develop with our clients.

Aly Rust

Aly was born and raised in Houston, Tx and has been in the Austin area since 2013. She has been in the veterinary field for 7 years. She has loved animals all her life and transferred that love into a rewarding career as a surgery technician. Aly enjoys fishing, camping, spending time with her family, and loves being out on the water. She shares her home with her 2 amazing kids, 2 boxers Simba and Cora and 1 lab mix Harbor. Aly loves being a part of the Crestview team and looks forward to continuing to care for all the furry family members of our awesome clients.
